Juslin Maunula is a Helsinki based brand and creative collaboration between Fashion Designer Laura Juslin and Architect Lilli Maunula. Juslin Maunula focuses on clothing, accessories and spatial installations. Alongside their own collection Juslin Maunula offers design services. All elements as a whole communicate the atmosphere of our brand. Designers draw inspiration from each other’s disciplines and aim for an end result that offers the viewer not only products but a full three dimensional experience. Juslin and Maunula believe in collaborative decision-making and support each other throughout the design process.
Laura Juslin presented her MA graduate collection at Aalto University of Arts Design and Architecture, Fashion Department in 2012. The collection was awarded the best collection of the year. Since then Juslin was appointed Head of Fashion of the clothing and furniture label Siloa & Mook. The label’s debut collection was presented in April 2013. Soon after, WWD and Vogue China among others described Siloa&Mook as one of the most promising rising fashion labels. In 2015 Swedish designer brand Ann Sofie Back together with the biggest nordic insurance company IF commissioned Laura Juslin to design a reflective collection of clothing and accessories to raise traffic safety awareness. The campaign is higly visible in Finland at the moment
Lilli Maunula holds a BA and an MA degree (2013) in Architecture from the Aalto Univesity, department of Architecture. She was also admitted to the Aalto Fashion Department and has completed 2 years of BA studies in Fashion Design. Lilli Maunula has a strong bacground working in the Fashion Industry, 2 years as First Assisitant to former Fashion Director of Dazed & Confused and AnOther Magazine, Cathy Edwards and as Contributing Fashion Assisitant at Harper’s Bazaar UK. Since completing her degree in Architecture she has worked in Stockholm for Bozarthfornell Architects, a practice that specializes in high end fashion retail for clients like Acne, Kenzo, Opening Ceremony, Robert Clergerie.
